Brand Enhancement through Innovative DispensingAfa’s strategy - "Brand Enhancement through Innovative Dispensing” - was developed more than 10 years ago in order to address the expected increase in market-share of private label brands. This change in the retail landscape created new dynamics between the retailer and the branded products, since the retailer is now able to offer its own “look alike” packages in direct competition with the branded products, but at a significant lower price. While most suppliers accepted the low added value of the dispenser, Afa went in the opposite direction. Under its new ownership (which took over the company in 1998) Afa adopted a new strategy: to develop proprietary dispensing technologies and serve as a one-stop shop for its customers, where innovative dispensing platforms developed in-house, serve as the basis for multiple product offerings. Afa provides the solution by applying its proprietary technologies as a technical platform for developing new ways to dispense all types of liquids. |
