Afa designs its products to have a minimum impact on the environment. This is not only a moral obligation of the people that work for Afa, it also is an important business driver. Afa sets the standards and leads the market with its dispensing products that are fully recyclable. Afa believes that a reduction of plastic waste through recycling is the first step, but ultimately Afa’s products should comply with the Cradle-To-Cradle philosophy.

Afa’s approach to sustainability is :

• First prevention - as far as possible, the weight and number of parts should be reduced.

• All product components should be of the same plastic material as far as possible.

• If other plastic materials are used, it must be easy to separate & recycle them.
  

• Non-plastic materials should be used only in durable components, which can be easily recycled after a long lifetime of use.
